What we believe
God
There is one God, existent as three persons – God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, the greatest of these is the Father. They are one in purpose and desire, but different in ministry. Luke 3:22; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19.
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is God, born of a virgin, who lived a sinless life, and fulfilled a vicarious and atoning death, was resurrected and who also ascended bodily to the right hand of the Father. He will return to this earth in power and glory. John 3:16; Acts 1:9-11; Romans 1:3-6.
The Bible
The Bible is the only inspired Holy Scripture which cannot be broken; it is inspired of the Holy Spirit and written for our benefit. 2 Timothy 3:16.
Salvation
A person must be born again in order to enter the Kingdom of God according to the Scriptures. This experience is freely given to all who repent and accept the sacrifice of the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sin by faith. The seal of salvation is received by the confession that Jesus Christ is Lord. John 3:3-6; 14:6; Ephesians 2:8; Romans 10:10.
Righteousness
Righteousness is God’s gift to believers who are saved through faith. This is accomplished through the regeneration of the Holy Spirit and is fundamental to personal salvation. The sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit enables the Christian to live a righteous life. Romans 10:10; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:16-25.
Water Baptism
Water baptism is by full immersion according to the Scriptures. It is the responsibility of each believer to be baptised in water when they can fully understand the meaning of repentance from sin. This baptism signifies the kind of life and doctrine, or holy separation from this world, to be followed thereafter. Matthew 3:16; 28:19; John 4:1.
Baptism in the Holy Spirit
This experience, subsequent to salvation, is received by those who ask for it; it is evidenced by the speaking in other tongues according to the Scriptures. Acts 1:8; 2:4; 8:15; 10:46; 19:6.
Healing
Bodily healing and deliverance, through the redemptive death of Jesus Christ on the cross, is available to all who will call out on His name. Matthew 8:17; 1 Peter 2:24.
Holy Communion
Jesus Christ commanded believers to ‘break bread’ in remembrance of Him as a symbolic gesture of His complete work on the cross – His body and blood are enough for the forgiveness of sins and the complete healing of the entire man. Matthew 26:26-28; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26.
Eternity
There is a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous from the dead, the righteous to eternal life and the unrighteous to eternal death. When Jesus Christ returns the Rapture of the Church will occur. 1 Corinthians 15:50-52; Revelation 20:11-15; Titus 2:13.
Family
Marriage is sacred between one man and one woman. Family values are a fundamental part of the Christian life. Ephesians 5:31-33; 6:1-4; Hebrews 13:4; Matthew 19:5; Leviticus 18:22; Genesis 2:24.
